election day and stressed mums

I was in the supermarket this morning and it suddenly occured to me there were a lot more children and hence a lot more stressed mums than usual. Then I realised what with polling day etc that many schools are closed.
I think the powers that be have got it all wrong, I don't know how many mums are eligible to vote but I wonder how many do, they have no childcare, have probably had to take the day off work to cover the childcare (if they work) and by the time they think about voting are shattered and don't feel like going. I wonder if they used other places how much the vote in that category would increase.
Thankfully I'm not in that group but it must be tough for those who are
