hi we were talking last night about council tax and the elderly and how we think its so unfair that people on low incomes who ahve paid tax and NI all their lives and on such a reduced income have to pay the same as us who are working. Now granted they might not ahve mortgages but many still have rent.
Also in like a sheltered flat block for services such as policing, fire and bins, roads etc it covers the same area so they're paying several times over for the same building. I think this is so unfair and needs to be changed.
