If you live in Radcliffe in Manchester you must have heard about the lions.
Well there are 132 of them to be exact and you have to hunt them down.
That's a bit brutal I hear you cry, well not really, the lions aren't real
only the fluffy variety and the hunt involves looking for the lions in house
and shop windows.
You display your toy lion with its name on a piece of laminated card and
people buy a sheet for £2 and you have to go round Radcliffe and find all
the lions and write down what they are called. Theres a prize for the winner
on 24th of July or something like that.
You can get the forms round Radcliffe from various shops or from the Bridge
Methodist church (behind the library in Radcliffe). The Bridge is open every
Saturday from 10 and I think they have face painting etc on too.
We have our sheet and we're off hunting soon. We'll let you know how many we
get. We have a lion in our window but you'll have to come look to see what's
called. feel free to pop in for a coffee to.
Its all in aid of World Vision.
