Well we ended up doing all sorts of cool stuff. We went to the new and improved Heaton Park (looks a bit bland the web page but the park is great), with its new 20ft enclosed chute slide and sand area with mini digger stuff, etc etc and new and expanded animal areas.
Saturday we did the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester and saw the dinosaur exhibition, what a fantastic place, interactive area, picnic eating area inside, plane and space hall, train and power hall, mills, train rides etc etc, its fab and most things are free.
Sunday we drove down to Buckingham and had a meal out for Andy’s 30th birthday. The Monday we went to Woburn Safari Park. Wow monkeys on the roof, stroked a lemur monkey and we were 1 foot away from a male lion who went straight in front of our car then stopped to have a drink out of a puddle by the passenger door. So cool and we all loved it.
Tuesday went to see our friends the Mayfields (blog links to Robin aka blogdog and Nikki) and their wonderful children and had a fantastic time. So cool.
Only thing which was negative at all was our digital camera broke so we didn't have any pictures from our Woburn trip except those on an instant camera, but we have loads in our brains so that’s just as good.
oh and we did get to go and see Big Ben but only in our imaginations, amazing what chairs a sheet and some black card and a white circle create!!!!
