Was just looking at my blog and realised I’d not posted about our trip to the Christmas markets and Cafe Rouge. The Christmas markets were great as always and too much food to eat, the best treat being th bread and cheese and chocolate croissants we always bring back to have for breakfast the following morning.
But after we went there we were intending on using our tesco clubcard deals at bella italia but ended up using them at cafe rouge. What a great family retauarant, its not at all kiddified, just family friendly. They took care of the children without it just being about them, it was definitely an adult family restaurant and we had a great time. They brought the kids balloons and play books and generally spoke to them when asking about drinks etc which we think is always important. How can kids be expected to be part of being in a restaurant if the staff always ignore them (sorry pet-hate of mine). Kids were brilliant and had a fab time and we had a lovely time with Andy’s mum.

We have found them great with the kids - we took them for a very special treat of breakfast one time and we had a marvellous time!
Robin and I also like to eat there kid-free too!
