Romans

I really like the book of Romans it’s so cool. Was reading this morning about The nature of sin. Heavy stuff I know, but basically it was talking about how we choose to put ourself before God and in those cases that is sin.

It got me thinking I can name you the biggies you know lying, stealing, adultery etc (we call them the big 10 in our house), but what about all the other stuff, choosing to watch Tv when I know the Holy Spirit is prompting me to pray or read my Bible. Choosing to do things for me rather than others. Not that doing things for yourself is wrong, otherwise I’d never get out of my jamas!!!!!! But you know when really you could be serving others. I always find it really challenging as it’s easy to spot the big 10 and ignore all the other stuff where we miss the little times we put ourselves as gods in our lives.

It’s something God challenges me on every now and again where am I at in serving him and others, how much time is “for me” and how much of that is OK. I don’t think I’ve got it right yet but I’m a work in progress!!!!!
