today is Friday

Well sorry for lack of posting with funeral and new baby and other 3 children life seems to have suddenly got hectic (don’t know why :-))

My Gran’s funeral went really well, and was a lovely way to say goodbye, it was a sad time but also a good time for family too. Never nice having to finally say goodbye to someone you loved so much but it wasn't a bad day all in all. We took the kids as our 2 older boys especially remembered their Granny Laura with fondness and love. Not sure they totally understood it all and they didn't go to the cemetery but it was good for them to say goodbye.

Really knew God looking after us though which was fab.

Re Ruth we have had numerous requests for a proper Greenie family photo, think we may actually try and manage it this weekend before Ruth stops looking like a newborn. Hard to believe she is 3 weeks old tomorrow time is just flying. We’ve had no green eyed monsters and the kids just adore her, she seems to be a very chilled out baby, much like the others were really, as long as she's got a full tummy, a clean nappy and enough cuddles she’s fine. I’ve ended up giving up breastfeeding though as got bad mastitis on Tuesday, think it had been brewing since the previous week as started with like a fluey thing over the weekend and by Tuesday was feeling awful and in lots of pain, so missy girl is now on Sma Gold for her grub, which she is now quite the connosieur of.

Friday in our house means swimming lessons so that will be todays job after school, and tomorrow think the plan is to actually do our yearly trip to buy our Christmas decs. WE don’t buy loads but we buy a few new ones each year and the kids help choose. We’ve done this ever since we got married, every year we buy 2 or 3 new ones and its great as every Christmas dec relates to a different Christmas with different memories it’s fab. The last few years we have lost a lot of the baubles I bought in the January sales in Lewis’s (thats old they are as it no longer exists)the Christmas after we got married, so think the plan is to buy some more of those for the tree. Probably got to Wilkos as they usually have a great choice. Be my 1st trip with all 4 of them on my own so a tad daunting but sure it will be fine. Think we might bus it and use the carrier possibly, anyway see how we go.

Hope you all have a fab weekend.
