Well apologies to all regular viewers of my blog, but just been silly busy, not rushing around, just 4 kids (1 of them a small baby), not much sleep, Christmas, school holidays and family stuff has meant I haven't had much spare time at all (add to this the fact that our broadband was offline for nearly 2 weeks too).
Christmas was wonderful, very busy and very exciting but absolutely fantastic, Ruth didn't quite get the hang of pressies (lol) but the others were keen to help her open her pressies and show her what she had got and help her play with them.
The boys were chuffed to bits with their remote control monster trucks and the acquisition of a PS2 has been very exciting as has lego star wars 2 for it. Hannah had what can only be explained as a Dora Christmas, anyone who bought her a pressie will have some inkling as to why, she had almost everything Dora which she absolutely adored.
We had a lovely time on Christmas morning Andy's sister was here and we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus before we opened our pressies which was cool. There were so many pressies to open that they didn't finish opening the ones from us til Boxing Day (I hasten to add we didn't go mad but they lots of little things plus loads from others and we tried to stagger the pressies).
New Years we spent we some great friends and Sam had his very first year of staying up til midnight which he thought was so cool, Hannah managed til 10pm then flaked, Toby had done midnight for the 1st time last year so it was cool for them they had some friends over and had a ps2 fest which they thought was so cool.
The new year has seen us finally coming to an end with the major work on our house. We’ve almost done it within 3 years, there is more to do but anything else is extending the house rather than original repairs. The house has needed completely gutting including pretty much the whole house replastering as we have stripped paper most of it has fallen off and we have had some interesting bendy walls, the last one of which disappears in a weeks time.
Everyone doing well, Andy is busy with work, the kids are happy in school and Hannah is very happy in nursery, starting to get some sleep on and off too so able to do a few more things, may post a fab choc muffin recipe I have found if I get time.
Anyway thank you to my good friend Nikki for reminding me that I haven't blogged in a while, hadn't realised it had been quite as long as it had been.
