Pancakes are such a yummy pud, I have to say we have not limited ourselves to just pancake day this last year but they’ve been a fairly regular part of our pudding repertoire.
Though tonight saw Andy with his banana and choc sauce filling without cream (we didn’t have any and he says he was showing restraint!!!), the rest of us did the old standard of sugar and lemon.
It’s funny thinking how things get forgotten and that pancake day or shrove Tuesday was the eve before Lent and remembering what God did at Easter and thinking about that in the build up and giving things up to spend more time with Him. Definitely something to dwell on over the next 7 weeks!!!

I'm so embarrassed - Robin has posted that I bought pancakes this year! The one time I cheat and I get busted!
I myself am not a huge fan of sweet pancakes - but savoury ones - are a whole different ball game! Yum.
Yes we were talking about lent too with Joy in particular, her idea was to have pancakes every day in Lent to help us remember LOL!
We also did pancakes... twice! Once before tea and once after. I agree that pancakes should be a more regular part of puddind menus! The whole biblical idea of clearing out the cupboards before lent by eating pancakes didn't really work in our house. We mostly had lemon and sugar, although syrup and jam got a showing too!! H.x
wow haze ive never had jam in a pancake was it nice????
Nikki did you ever go to the pancake house when you lived up in't north????
