Update on Ruth

I completely forgot to post after other blog that had to go back on Andy's birthday for an anti-D injection. Pretty standard with any kind of jolt or fall if you’re rhesus negative.

Anyway went for my 29 week scan today ( i know im only 27 weeks but away when the next one is due so they wanted to scan me early rather than late). The scan was basically to check for fluid reduction, swellings or bleeding etc and everything looks fine, consultant says Ruth is fine and no problems so far, so will keep and eye and have another scan at 32 weeks to check again and more bloods again. Had some bloods taken this morning so they’ll check those for antibody levels.

But everything looks great and YES she is definitely a Ruth, they could tell 100% at this stage as everything is so much more developed than even 7 weeks ago, how amazing is that.

The kids were very excited as they got to see Ruth again on the telly, and really enjoyed that so that was a fabulous treat for them. Even went out and bought some vests and bits for Ruth as beginning to feel like everything is becoming a bit more real now I’m nearly in 3rd trimester (or home stretch as its more commonly known!). Furniture etc and rooms are being organised and bits being sorted so feeling like things are getting ready for her arrival at the end of October.

One big plus is we think both the girls and the boys rooms should be finished by then, which will be lovely for them, we’ve been here getting on for 2 1/2 years and the boys have pretty much had lovely floral wallpaper all that time so be great for them to have boyish colours and some proper storage to put their stuff away. Plus makes life so much easier for me too with 4 kids!!!!! How weird does that sound 4 kids, great I know but very strange.

I remember I used to look at women with 4 children when I had 1 and think they were like supermums, I still do to some extent, but now I’m here it doesn't feel that much different to when I had one, I still make mistakes and it’s still just as much if not more fun than it was, the main thing I have to say I've noticed is the volume level is quite a lot louder when they’re all playing LOL
