10 years today

10 years ago today I became Mrs Andrew Green. It was a beautiful day, very low key and laid back with over 200 guests but much more like a laid back buffet fellowship meal after the service. We still 10 years on get compliments on our wedding and how lovely it was and different very unweddingy in its lack of prissiness and pomp etc, but neither of us wanted any of the extra stuff that usually goes with a wedding. Heh my beautiful engagement ring was £24 and that was my choice LOL.

Anyway its strange to think it happened so long ago and yet it feels a long time ago in other ways. Since then we've had a few homes, changed our jobs, our lives and had 3 beautiful and wonderful children and are about to have 1 more. We've seen God do incredible things along the way and also seen sadnesses too, we’ve shared tears, laughter, pain and several chocolate cakes!!!!!

Its quite strange really sharing your life in such a personal way with someone but in a good way, if I had to pick again knowing what I know now I’d be quicker at picking Andy and would probably have been married sooner. I always tell Andy Id have married him in my jeans the day after he asked me or there was no point saying yes.

So thanks hon for 10 wonderful years, for being my best friend, for loving me, knowing my sherbet fountain moments, being there, being a great husband and Dad, and for striving to follow God in our home and life together. It’s exciting to think what the next 10 years will have us doing and where it will lead us, but its great to think we get to be walking buddies along the way.
