Well I got out today my propogator seed trays to be able to start some plugs off and went to get the compost from the back yard and well got quite a surprise. In the half open bag of compost were 2 tiny small pink and grey baby animals which I could only assume were mice or rats at which point something stuck its head out from within the bag and grabbed one of them and went back in.
It turned out they were mice. I hadnt thought to get rid of it as i have tubs full of it and a border so didnt think anything of it. So we have gutted out garden and unfortunatley had to put posion down as otherwise if they get in they gnaw through electric cables etc etc etc and cause huge problems and can make houses very dangerous places.
Got us to sort the yard but not the best of reasons. Hopefully be sorted soon

Well that's not much fun! Don't think I would have thought to seal it up, or get rid of it, or something else!! Guess the yard looks sparkling now!! Not the best way to spend valentines day though!!! H.x
