quick and easy pizza tea (2 mins cooking)

I’m always looking for recipees that are yummy, good for you but very quick to do. I remembered over the weekend something I used to make which is French bread pizzas.

Basically you’ll need enough baguette to make the pizzas (chop ends of, cut into big pieces and then slice down middle), tomato puree, toppings and cheese.

It takes about 5 mins to make which kids can help with and then 2 mins to cook.

Cut ends of baguette (kids can eat this while waiting), then cut into big wide slices and then slice those down middle so you have sort of half moon bits. On the inside bread bit spread tomato puree, then put on toppings (sandwich ham, mushrooms and sweetcorn are a fave), then put cheese all over top. Cook on a hot grill for 2–3 mins (watch as it cooks really quick) then eat. I usually put them on trays as its easier for getting them out of the oven and you don't end up with cheese all over the floor of oven. Stick them all in a big dish and scoff.

one long baguette will make about 8 pizzas, so judge what you think, obviously at the same time you could get a baguette mix up some garlic and butter (or alternatively garlic bread seasoning with butter) and make some garlic bread to go with it.

serve with veggies salad or whatever you want. Is a bit of a fave now we think and kids always love being involved in cooking.
