Right well this may not be your thing at all but my friend Chris bought me a great magazine while I was in hospital called Grow Your Own. For those of you who don't know my mum and I acquired and allotment this year which is fab, unfortunately I've not managed to do much on it yet but I will in the future. My mum has done heaps as have the boys with digging over and we're just at the point of sowing etc, so great fun, I'm also hoping to put quite a bit at home when im better, like hanging baskets tubs and we have a small raised bed in the back which will be filled with veggies.
We also have a self pollenating cherry tree in our front garden which we should get a few cherries on this year
Anyway, Grow your Own is fab, it has really practical info and sort of an idiots guide to allotmenting and growing your own fruit and veg, some of the websites I find a bit convoluted so this is great just signed up for a years subscription.

Is the picture your cherry tree? Will it grow into a huge tree or a smallish one? Does it have blossom? Growing your own cherries sounds like a fantastic thing to do! Such fun!! H.x
it will grow as big as we let it grow so you can keep it pruned down or let it get big depends, i think we'll prob end up with it mid size
